        Inscriptions

  • These inscriptions are numbered by row starting in the southwest corner of the cemetery and listing from left to right for each row.
  • There are 14 rows in the cemetery.  Row 1 begins in the southwest corner of the cemetery.  Listings for Row 14 begin in the Southeast corner.
  • Following the person’s name in the is a number that shows the location of the grave in the row.  Numbering is from left to right (south to north) for each row.

Example:  No. 3 in Row 4 (4.03) is the grave of Haynes G. Burnham.  If new burials were made in a row since 2009, the numbering system will be a little off.

  • The oldest extant gravestone with an inscription is that of Jimmie I. Landers (13.04)  who died May 29, 1884. 
  • Twenty-one graves are marked by sandstone markers only, with no name or dates.
  • As far as can be determined, there are seven unmarked graves in the cemetery.  White wooden crosses have been placed at the head of each of these graves.
