Directions:

Condition:
This plot of land was set aside in the early 1870’s to be used as a burial ground for members and descendants of the George Gray, Sr. family. It is on land where the Grays settled in 1860 and on the site George Gray selected as the place he wished to be buried because it had four large oak trees that reminded him of his four sons. Three of these trees still stand.

The cemetery is an area of about 4/5 acre, enclosed by a 4 ft. high rock fence. The main entrance, a 14 ft. wide gate, is near the mid-point in the east fence line. There are two other 9 ft. wide gates, one in the northwest corner and the other in the southwest   corner of the cemetery. This family cemetery has been and continues to be well-maintained by an active cemetery association.
