Mahan Cemetery

Location:
This family cemetery is located about four miles east-northeast of the city of San Saba at the end of County Road 118 on private property.

Condition:
This family cemetery was established in 2012 with the burial of Max Dane Mahan.  It is a small 24 ft. by 40 ft. area enclosed by a decorative black wrought iron fence with a ten foot wide gate at mid-point in the south fence line.  It is situated near the Max Mahan home on the edge of an open meadow and contains a few small live oak trees.

At present there is only one grave in this cemetery, that of:

Max Dane Mahan, born December 28, 1932 in Goldthwaite, Texas to Rex Mahan and Pauline Harper Mahan.  He died at his home September 30, 2012 after a long battle with cancer.
