Estep Family Cemetery

Location:
The Estep Cemetery is located in North San Saba County in the Catclaw Community, on the Catclaw Ranch.

Directions: From San Saba city limit go north on State Highway 16 for 1.4 miles to FM 500.

Turn left onto FM 500, go north 4.8 miles to CR 117 (unpaved). Turn right onto CR 117. Go 2.0 miles to the intersection with CR 121.

Turn sharp left onto CR 121 (very rough). Stay on CR 121 for 6.4 miles to two stop signs on the right: First sign says-Warning. Private Property/Stay Out. No Trespassing. Cross cattle guard to the second sign, Catclaw Ranch.  Permission is required to enter.


Condition:
 This old cemetery shows signs of long-term neglect and complete abandonment. The cemetery is unfenced and located in pastureland with heavy growths of bee brush, mesquite trees, prickly and turkey pear and thorny underbrush. Tombstones are broken and displaced with some parts missing.
