Location :
     Adams Cemetery is on the Adams Family land off CR 410 in eastern San Saba County.

 

 Directions:  From San Saba city limit go east on U. S. 190 6.1 miles to CR 410.

           Turn right onto CR 410 (unpaved). Stay on CR 410 for 1.7 miles to cemetery location on right. (50 yards off road in flat terrain heavily covered by trees)

           To get to this point on CR 410 you will cross a cattle guard. On the left is a new fence with two gates, Go past first gate. 

           When you reach second gate on 
your left, stop . The cemetery is across the road on your right, 50 yards into tree‑covered pasture.

 

Condition:   This small cemetery is completely enclosed by a three foot high rock fence 15' by 15'. 

It contains three gravesites marked by a single large marble headstone and three footstone markers. The large headstone is in the southwest corner of the enclosure.

The remainder of the area is covered by thorn brush, persimmon and "algerita" bushes.

Three gravesites marked by one large headstone. Names on headstone are listed left to right. The first burial was July 13, 1879. The last burial was September 30, 1888.

Unmarked Vacant Grave space [Could have been intended gravesite for Eliza Jane Adams, Mother of John Q. and William S. She was buried in Harris Cemetery in 1916.]

Note: Elizabeth Jane Adams (Eliza Jane) was the wife of W. L. Adams. She was born 8 15 1854 and died 2 ? 1916. They married 9 19 1875 in San Saba County.

William Little Adams
Born June 26, 1827 in Erie County, New York  - Died October 23, 1889 in San Saba County, Texas

William Little Adams came to San Saba County from San Luis County, California and bought land on January 1, 1870. He married Elizabeth Jane Turner Jeffries, the widow of William Jeffries, on September 19, 1875. Eliza Jane Turner was born August 15, 1854 in Kemper County, Mississippi. She was buried in Harris Cemetery, San Saba County February 1, 1916.
