Estep Family Cemetery

Gravesites:

There are seven identifiable gravesites. There may be more without markers.
• Six are identified by name or part of a name on the headstone.
• First burial appears to have been in May 1882.
• Last burial was in February, 1918.

The listings are by number that corresponds to the number on the Plat Map that shows locations of gravesites.

[San Saba Co.  census –1900- lists  Lucy Ann Holden as wife of Spencer Rouse]
[This is an above  ground tomb fashioned and erected from hand- cut sandstone and held in place by cement mortar. A part of the
inscription is broken away and missing.]

2. ESTEP Samuel       Nov. 19,1833 - May 3, 1882 [Masonic insignia on tombstone. He served in Confederate States army.]

3. ESTEP Helen Mar. 28,1881 - May 8, 1906

5. CHURCHWELL John C. Aug. 27, 1876 - Feb. 23, 1918

6. CHURCHWELL “Baby” Aug. 28, 1902 - Aug. 29, 1902  [Infant son of John C.] 
 
7. DIAL Lou Ella Oct. 17,1871 - July 2, 1892 [Dau/o Jane Dial, Samuel Estep’s second wife.]
